What to Expect
From YOUR Inspection
From YOUR Inspection
Whether you are buying, selling or maintaining your home, INSPEKTZ provides professional and quality service from the moment you contact us. We will walk through your home with you and teach you as much as you want to learn. If you are busy or unavailable during the scheduled inspection, no problem! We will complete the inspection and provide you with a comprehensive summary of our findings. In either case, we strictly follow the Standards of Practice for home inspectors established by InterNACHI, the most respected Home Inspection Association in the industry.
Once the home inspection has been completed, we will explain the general condition of the home and systems with you and your agent. We will talk through any major issues that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. We will also identify items that you will want to keep an eye on for deferred maintenance. All of this will be detailed in our comprehensive report that will be delivered in HTML and/or PDF format. From that report, you’ll be able to see the items we discussed, with images for reference.
Our job is to make sure you understand all aspects of the inspection process. Should you have any questions or concerns after the report, you are encouraged to give us a call. We will provide you with an explanation of the report and options to assist you in making a confident decision about your property.
Wondering what’s included in a standard home inspection from INSPEKTZ? Here is a quick overview of the services included in your home inspection along with the major systems that we analyze and assess throughout the process.
The roof is one of the most costly and important structures. We will examine the roof, its structure, shingles/tiles, flashing, gutters, downspouts and more.
This includes the exterior walkways and doors, siding, eaves and soffits, fascia, paint, and other such elements of the home’s exterior.
We will test and examine the HVAC systems including ducts, filters, furnaces and air conditioning units.
We will check all plumbing fixtures for proper function, including tubs, sinks, hoses, showers, water shut-off valves, and look for leaks and other related flaws.
We will check both interior and exterior electrical systems including service drops, service masts, grounding, outlets, meters, circuit breakers, and other related systems.
We will check doors and windows for proper sealing and drafts, signs of mold or water damage, and more. We will also check the condition of all interior spaces.
We will examine the foundation, crawlspaces and basements to look for signs of past water damage, foundation cracking or shifting, and other concerning issues.
We will examine the attic to ensure it is properly ventilated, check for signs of mold and moisture, assess the level of insulation, and more.
